What fun we had

Honey and I went to Renaissance Festival this weekend. Quite out of character I joined one of the players in preparing for the parade. We did "exercises" to get ready for the big event. Dear Honey took pictures for all to see. We bought tickets so we could return next weekend..who knows, maybe I will exercise again for the parade.

Feeding the Seagulls

When we visit Mississippi we always enjoy feeding the seagulls. It usually start with one and then too many to count. They dive and even get close in hopes of a treat. What a noise they make.

Home from Mississippi

Honey and I went to Gautier Mississippi to check on his Mother. She is getting better every day. Every time we go we try to have breakfast at Taternut. They sell doughnuts that melt in your mouth. You have to get there early or there won't be much left.

I am really glad to be home now.

Kate's Block

DD (Kate) is just learning how to quilt. Mum sent her Quilted Diamonds 2 by Linda Franz. Mum also sent several fat quarters thread and needles. Kate is very excited to learn.

Project Linus

At long last (almost a year) the quilts for Project Linus are finished and ready to deliver. Many thanks to my Mum for the beautiful quilts she donated. It was really nice to share this with DD and my Mum. Three generations learning to love quilting. Who could ask for anything more.

Introducing Barry

While shopping at Walmart we found a pet for DD. She named him Barry. We have enjoyed watching him.

Last night Honey helped me get my first quilt top ready to finish. It has been waiting for two years to be quilted. At long last the time has come.

Signs of Spring

DD is spending the weekend with me. She took some pictures that show warmer weather is on the way. We had a cold snap this weekend, but it is supposed to warm up next week.

A visit with the Dr

Today I went to the Doctor because I my chest still hurts from the accident. Breathing, sneezing and coughing all make it hurt more. I now have a prescription for pain. Since it is my ribs it will just take time to heal. DD had today off. She had a friend come and visit while she was here. Not much else is happening here. I have homework to do now.

I didn't finish what I wanted today

Never mind what you plan...life occures. I had a list of things to do. Then DD called and needed a ride. Of course if I had planned ahead it wouldn't have made any difference. So it is not DD's fault...It isn't my fault either...it is life.
We adjusted and moved forward. What else could you do. She is working hard and hopefully the tide will turn soon. I am happy to say that both Darling Daughter (DD) and Darling Spouse (DS) are trying to make a better life. We help when we can.

Past a Tramatic Week

The last week wasn't the best I have had. An automobile accident totaled my jeep and another ladie's honda. Fortunately everyone came through with "minor injuries". Of course they don't feel minor when they belong to you. DD was with me and is now recovering from a cracked collarbone. She was doing well today. Honey will be working a little extra to make up for time he took off to take care of me. I am so greatful my Mum keeps reminding me that recovering happens over time...not in one day.
I am enrolled in my last class to complete my degree. I will be so glad when that is finished.
